Dog car travel in Canada

A dog in a Canadian car needs two separate decisions: something that holds the dog, and something that protects the bench. Creature & Kin currently sells a booster-style car seat. We do not sell a hammock cover. We do not publish crash-test figures we do not have.
What should I use for a dog in the car in Canada?
Use a restraint that actually attaches to the dog — usually a harness clipped in the way the product describes — and a seat or cover that fits your vehicle. Provincial rules differ. This page is not legal advice. Read your province and the vehicle manual.

Before a drive
- Measure the dog. Fit the harness first. See how to measure a dog for a harness.
- Set the seat on the bench you will actually use. Short benches fail more often than photos show.
- Clip only the points the product names. Do not invent a latch.
- In winter, keep salt off the seat with a towel you can wash. That is care, not a safety rating.
