How to choose a dog carrier

Enclosed trip, or the bench

If the job is a building, a platform, or a vet door, you need something that closes. If the job is the back seat of a car, a carrier is usually the wrong first object. Weight you can lift, and the opening

Add the dog’s weight to the carrier before you decide you will carry it up stairs. The product may list a weight. If it does not, we do not invent a kilogram limit. The opening has to admit the dog without a fight you cannot finish in a hallway. Measure chest and back the same way as a coat, then compare to the dimensions on that carrier. Missing dimensions stay missing.
